Organics for Fido Cooking Class

Learn to spoil your pooch rotten with homemade organic treats at a special Ger-Nis cooking class. Knowing what goes into your treats is important when Fido has a food allergy or is on a diet but it’s also just plain fun to make them from scratch.

During a hands-on class on May 15 you’ll make: Peanut Butter Bacon Biscuits with Carob Icing, Apple Cheddar Biscuits (perfect for everyday treats), Vegetable Beef Bites (tiny for training), Zucchini Carrot Cakes (good for weight management); Blueberry Banana Oatmeal Cookies (for dogs with allergies), Turkey Jerky, and Beef Flavored Sweet Potato Chews.

The class is family friendly so bring the kids, bring pictures of your pooch, and leave with tasty treats that will earn you sloppy kisses from your best friend. Ger-Nis Culinary & Herb Center; May 15, 2011 11:00 am -2:00pm. Adults $50; Kids $30.

  1. Wow! What a great idea!

We’ve made several different treat recipes for Gus and it really is amazing how simple some of the recipes are. It’s great to know exactly what ingredients are going into the mix. We often make pumpkin dog biscuits and freeze the leftovers!
