Meet the Breeds Comes to NYC

This weekend hundreds of dogs will wag their tails for you at the Javits Center. 160 dog breeds to be exact are the stars of the American Kennel Club’s Meet the Breeds event. This annual expo allows the public to interact with dogs and learn what makes each breed unique from experts who will be on hand to answer questions. The event will also feature the latest in pooch products and fun demos ranging from grooming to obedience and agility. It’s a shame the AKC turned down a request from the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC Animals to have adoptable dogs at the event. However, prospective dog owners can still learn about responsible pet ownership at the expo and keep their eye on shelter and rescue dogs when ready to bring a pooch home.
