This morning the Today show featured Walter the Brooklyn dog who was rescued from the streets of Cobble Hill. In April the poor pup was thrown from a car onto the street and rescued by a passerby. Brooklynite Alex Darcy took the dog to VERG where he learned its chances for survival were slim and the medical bills would be outrageous. Determined and on a mission, Alex and his girlfriend sent a few emails to friends to help raise funds for Walter and started a blog and Facebook campaign. Soon people around the globe were helping their cause and today they have a happy healthy pup. Kudos to everyone who helped give this story a happy ending!
