ASPCA Block Party Brings Free Pet Health Services to Brooklyn Dogs

The ASPCA celebrates the dog days of summer with a block party at the Brooklyn Public Library this weekend. The day-long event on Saturday, July 17 offers free pet health services and tunes from Brooklyn artists to raise awareness about the importance of spaying and neutering. All five of the organization’s state-of-the-art Mobile Spay/Neuter Clinics will be on-site providing free surgery to all pets.

Additional services and highlights include:
-Free microchipping and vaccinations for pit bulls and pit mixes
-Raffle prizes and giveaways
-ASPCA Pet Care and Behavior experts
-Music from Maiysha, Tuan X and DJ Hard Hittin’ Harry

Take advantage of these services at the Brooklyn Public Library, Grand Army Plaza from 9am – 3pm.

This week the ASPCA also kicks off Operation Pit, a new health program for Pits and Pit mixes, which make up a vast percentage of homeless dogs in city shelters. The initiative will offer free spay/neuter or vasectomy surgery, vaccinations and micro-chipping. Learning about these great services make me feel good about my monthly donation.
